Why your van needs this

Transporters and campers rust where you can't see it

A camper isn't just a van — it's years of work and serious money you plan to keep for the long haul. The trouble is that vans rot from the inside out: salt and damp get trapped in the sills, arches, rear quarters and chassis rails, and by the time it shows on the surface you're often looking at welding, not a wash-and-wax.

Protecting it now — properly, in the cavities where it starts — is far cheaper than fixing structural rust later. That's the whole job here.

Sills & step rails

Salt and grit pack into the lower sills and side-step rails, where it sits wet and works away unseen.

Wheel arches

Stone chips break the factory coating; the exposed steel behind the arch liners is first to bubble.

Rear quarters & tailgate

Trapped moisture around the rear corners and tailgate seams is a classic Transporter rot spot.

Chassis rails & outriggers

The structural metal underneath carries the camper's weight — and the highest cost if it's left to corrode.

What's included

The full 8-step treatment — van-framed

The most important part for a van is step 6 — wax injected deep inside the sills, arches and inner chassis, exactly where Transporters rot. Every job ends with a before & after video of your own van's underside.

  1. 01

    Getting your vehicle ready

We set up on your driveway — no garage drop-off, no waiting room.

  2. 02

    Remove all undertrays

Off come the covers so every hidden surface can be reached.

  3. 03

    Before video inspection

We film the underside as-found, so you see exactly where you started.

  4. 04

    Dry clean to remove debris

A thorough dry preparation — no trapped moisture under the seal.

  5. 05

    Rust de-scaling

Loose rust is mechanically removed back to sound metal.

  6. 06

    Cavity wax injection

The most important step — wax injected inside sills, arches and inner chassis where rust starts.

  7. 07

    Bilt Hamber Dynax UB coating

A tough, lab-proven underbody coating sealed over the whole underside.

  8. 08

    Final inspection & after video

We film the finished result so you can see the transformation.

This is the footage we film for every customer — the underside as we found it, then the same sills, arches and chassis de-scaled, wax-injected and fully sealed against the salt. Drag the timeline and you can see exactly what your van gets.

The proof, not the promise

Bilt Hamber Dynax UB, not lanolin

A camper deserves more than a soft lanolin spray that washes thinner every winter. We use Bilt Hamber Dynax UB — a tough underbody coating proven in ASTM-B117 salt-spray chambers (where products are blasted with salt mist to see what lasts) to outlast lanolin-based products (e.g. Lanoguard).

  • Cavity wax injected inside sills, arches and chassis
  • A hard, lab-tested seal over the whole underside
  • Built to hold up against UK road salt for years
  • Before & after video so you can see what was done

Van owner questions

Good to know

Do you actually specialise in vans and campers?
Yes. VW Transporters (T5/T6), day-vans, panel vans and motorhomes are a big part of what we do. We know exactly where these vehicles rust — the sills, arches, rear quarters and chassis rails — and we inject wax into those hidden cavities, not just the surfaces you can see.
How long does it take, and will my van be off the road?
Most vans and campers take the best part of a day; larger motorhomes can take longer. Because we come to your driveway or yard, your van isn't sitting in a garage for days — we set up, treat it and leave it ready to use.
Do you cover motorhomes and big campers too?
Yes. We treat large vans and motorhomes up to 3.5t tag-axle. Pricing runs from £399 for a compact van up to £550 for an XL 3.5t tag-axle motorhome — message us your make and model for an exact figure.
Why is this worth more than a cheap lanolin spray?
We use Bilt Hamber Dynax UB, proven in ASTM-B117 salt-spray chambers to outlast lanolin-based products (e.g. Lanoguard), and we inject wax into the cavities where rust actually starts. A quick lanolin spray over the visible underside misses the inside of the sills and chassis — exactly where a camper rots.
What is the Anti-Rust Care Plan?
It's an optional membership (£9.99 a month) for ongoing peace of mind — keeping your van's protection topped up year after year so the salt never gets a foothold. Ask us about it when you book.
